Four Pakistani soldiers, including Lieutenant Daniyal, were martyred during a successful operation to stop an infiltration attempt in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Thursday.
In two separate encounters in KP, security forces killed seven militants identified as Khawarij. One of these clashes took place in the Shawal region of North Waziristan, where militants launched an attack on a security checkpoint. The military’s media wing confirmed that Lieutenant Daniyal, Naib Subedar Kashif Raza, Lance Naik Fiaqat Ali, and Sepoy Muhammad Hameed lost their lives in the intense firefight.
In a separate incident in Chitral district, security forces killed another Indian-backed militant during a confrontation.
Due to the likelihood of additional militants in the vicinity, clearance operations are ongoing.
The ISPR emphasized the determination of security forces to eradicate terrorism supported by India and reiterated their dedication to protecting the country. It also honored the sacrifices of the fallen soldiers, stating their martyrdom only strengthens the armed forces’ resolve.
Separately, security forces eliminated five terrorists linked to the banned group Fitna-ul-Hindustan during two distinct operations in Balochistan, ISPR reported.
The first operation took place in Loralai, where four terrorists were killed following heavy gunfire exchanges based on intelligence inputs. Authorities recovered weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the scene.
ISPR noted that these militants were involved in terrorist attacks carried out on August 26 last year and February 18, 2025, targeting National Highway 70 (N-70), resulting in the deaths of at least 30 civilians.
The slain terrorists were listed among the most wanted by law enforcement agencies due to their roles in major terror incidents.
In another operation in Kech district, security forces neutralized an additional terrorist associated with the same banned outfit.
The ISPR reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of security forces to completely eliminate Fitna-ul-Hindustan elements from Pakistan and stressed their ongoing efforts to bring terrorists and their supporters to justice.
