Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has appointed Aliya Hamza as the head of the Punjab political committee, expressing serious concerns about the initial formation of the committee.
The original four-member committee included Salman Akram Raja, Omar Ayub Khan, and Usman Akram, and was reportedly ranked above Aliya Hamza’s position.

After being informed about this structure, Imran Khan directed the PTI leadership, through Senator Ali Zafar, to name Aliya Hamza as the committee’s leader and to notify Firdous Shamim Naqvi of this decision.
The announcement was confirmed during an informal interaction with journalists at Adiala Jail by Senator Ali Zafar, Barrister Aliya Hamza, Ali Imran, and Barrister Faisal Chaudhry.
