Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday reaffirmed his government’s commitment to eliminating corruption and closing transparency gaps, citing significant progress in institutional reforms, especially within the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

Chairing a high-level meeting in Islamabad, the PM called for third-party audits by global firms to validate FBR reforms and praised the Faceless Customs Assessment System for reducing human interference and improving tax collection.
A digital tax return system in Urdu and local languages was also announced to assist citizens. “We’re correcting 70 years of mismanagement,” Shehbaz declared.
