As tensions soar between Iran and Israel, US President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) held a phone call, urging restraint and a diplomatic path forward to avoid a wider regional war. The leaders expressed deep concern over recent Israeli airstrikes on Iranian targets and stressed the need for de-escalation.
According to a report by Al Arabiya, both Trump and MBS emphasized the “importance of self-restraint, deescalation, and the resolution of all disputes through diplomatic means.” They also underscored continued cooperation between Washington and Riyadh to maintain peace and security in the region.
