Former U.S. President Donald Trump has denied claims made by French President Emmanuel Macron that he left the G7 Summit in Canada to broker a ceasefire between Israel and Iran.
Taking to Truth Social, Trump lashed out at Macron, labeling him “publicity seeking” and asserting that the French president “always gets it wrong.” Trump clarified that his abrupt return to Washington had “nothing to do with a ceasefire,” and suggested there were more pressing matters at play.

“Wrong! He has no idea why I am now on my way to Washington, but it certainly has nothing to do with a Cease Fire. Much bigger than that,” Trump wrote. “Stay Tuned!”
