Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has restarted direct flights from Lahore to Paris after a five-year suspension, boosting its long-struggling European operations.

Flight PK-733 departed from Allama Iqbal International Airport on Wednesday with 276 passengers, marking the official relaunch of this key international route. A special ceremony was held at the airport to celebrate the milestone, attended by PIA officials and travelers.

The airline already operates two weekly flights from Islamabad to Paris. With Lahore now added to the schedule, Punjab-based passengers will have more options for direct travel to Europe.

PIA had returned to Paris in January 2025 after 4.5 years, with CEO Amir Hayat onboard the inaugural Islamabad-Paris flight carrying 317 passengers.

This renewed focus on European destinations signals PIA’s efforts to rebuild global connectivity and passenger trust.
