PIA Resumes Lahore–Paris Direct Flights After Five-Year Hiatus

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has reinstated its direct flight service from Lahore to Paris, marking a major step in the airline’s push to revive its European operations. The route had remained suspended for five years due to various regulatory and operational challenges.

Flight PK-733 departed from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport on Wednesday with 276 passengers onboard, marking the official relaunch. A special ceremony was held at the airport, where PIA officials and travelers gathered to celebrate the occasion.

This move builds on PIA’s earlier revival of its Islamabad–Paris route, which resumed in January 2025 after a 4.5-year break. That inaugural flight carried 317 passengers and received a warm reception at Paris Airport from PIA staff and Pakistan Embassy officials.

The airline spokesperson noted that the Lahore–Paris service will now run weekly, complementing the existing Islamabad–Paris flights and enhancing travel options for passengers from Punjab heading to Europe.
