The Big Bash League (BBL) 2025-26 draft witnessed a strong showing from Pakistani cricketers, with seven prominent players earning selections across various franchises. Their inclusion highlights the growing demand for Pakistan’s T20 talent on the global stage.
In the platinum category, three Pakistani players were picked in the opening round. Shaheen Shah Afridi was selected by Brisbane Heat as their first pick, adding firepower to their bowling unit. Haris Rauf, initially drafted by Adelaide Strikers, was retained by Melbourne Stars. Pakistan’s white-ball captain, Mohammad Rizwan, will make his BBL debut with Melbourne Renegades.
