Israel Says IRGC Drone Unit Commander Killed in Targeted Airstrike

Israel has taken responsibility for a targeted airstrike that reportedly killed a high-ranking commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), intensifying regional tensions.

According to Israeli media, the airstrike eliminated Amin Pourjodki—also spelled Amin For Judkhi—who was allegedly heading the IRGC’s second unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) unit within its Aerospace Force. The Israeli military claims the strike occurred on Saturday, though details about the exact location and operation remain undisclosed.

Pourjodki was identified by Israeli officials as a central figure in Iran’s drone program. They accused him of overseeing UAV operations that threatened Israeli security and of providing drone technology to Iran-backed groups in the region.

“The IDF confirms the killing of Amin Pourjodki, a top IRGC commander responsible for managing Iran’s second UAV unit,” an Israeli security source stated. “He played a vital role in orchestrating drone attacks and transferring UAV capabilities to Iran’s regional proxies, making him a justified target.”

As of now, Iranian authorities have not issued any official statement confirming Pourjodki’s death.
