Rescue Operations Ongoing After Boat Capsizes in Swat's Shahi Bagh Kalam

Search and rescue operations entered their second day in Swat’s Shahi Bagh, Kalam, following a tragic boat accident that left three people missing, including a young brother and sister. According to Rescue 1122 officials, strong river currents and the area’s rugged, mountainous landscape are severely hampering recovery efforts.

The incident unfolded when a boat’s engine reportedly malfunctioned, causing it to crash into a bridge and capsize. Two women lost their lives in the accident; their bodies have been recovered and transported to their hometown in Mardan.

A young boy who sustained injuries in the mishap has received medical treatment and has since been released from the hospital.

In response to the challenging conditions, additional Rescue 1122 teams have been deployed to strengthen the ongoing search.

Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and avoid risky travel near rivers, citing the dangerous and unpredictable water conditions in the area.
