Founded in 2018, Saturn allows students to manage schedules, coordinate with friends, and plan their daily lives through a social-first calendar. Snap confirmed that Saturn will continue as a standalone app, while its features may soon be woven into Snapchat “in innovative ways.”

The app is already used in 80% of US high schools, according to Snap, making it a strategic addition for turning online connections into real-world engagement — a growing priority in Snapchat’s evolving strategy.
