A powerful bomb blast struck the Nawagai area of Bajaur district on Wednesday, leaving at least four people dead and 11 others injured, according to police.
Officials reported that the explosion targeted a government vehicle on Nawagai Road, near the Siddiqabad railway crossing in Khar tehsil. Among those killed were the assistant commissioner of Nawagai, a police subedar, and another police officer.

The incident occurred while the officials were passing through the area. Preliminary investigations indicate that an improvised explosive device (IED) had been planted specifically to hit the government convoy.
Security forces and rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene, secured the area, and transported the injured to a nearby hospital. Several of the wounded individuals are reported to be in serious condition.
