Karachi has a new attraction for families and children. The “Time Travel Theatre” has officially opened at Dino Safari Park, offering a mix of fun and education for young audiences.
The launch ceremony took place on Friday, with Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab leading the inauguration. Other attendees included Deputy Parliamentary Leader Dil Muhammad, PPP East District President Iqbal Sand, and various elected officials.
This new theatre is part of the city’s efforts to improve educational and recreational spaces. The goal is to give families, especially those from low- and middle-income backgrounds, more affordable entertainment options.
A Unique Learning Experience for Kids
The Time Travel Theatre features interactive storytelling and themed performances designed to teach young children about nature and the environment. It targets kids aged three to five, aiming to blend learning with entertainment.
According to city officials, the theatre will cover topics such as:
- Environmental awareness
- Animal welfare
- Nature conservation
The storytelling approach helps kids understand these important themes in a fun and engaging way.
Public-Private Partnership
The project was developed through a public-private partnership, with strong support from the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) and private sector sponsors. This collaboration made it possible to bring such a unique concept to life.
Officials say the initiative is a step forward in promoting inclusive community spaces. These spaces are not just for fun. They are meant to foster creativity, awareness, and education among Karachi’s young residents.
Focus on Community and Accessibility
The theatre is located inside Dino Safari Park, a popular family destination in Karachi. With this new addition, the park now offers even more activities that combine fun with meaningful learning.
By launching the Time Travel Theatre, the city hopes to provide accessible, quality recreation for all children, regardless of background.
This project reflects Karachi’s ongoing push to create a more engaged, informed, and inclusive society, starting with its youngest citizens.
