The 34-year-old shared the clip on X (formerly Twitter), where he was seen working out, while also thanking High-Performance Center Director Aaqib Javed.
The video quickly gained attention from fans, many of whom urged Umar to return to professional cricket. Supporters flooded the comments with encouraging words.

Umar Akmal has faced several ups and downs in his career. In past interviews, he shared frustrations about his treatment as a player. He once revealed that he did not want his son to play for Pakistan due to the struggles he endured.
He also claimed that, at times, higher authorities pressured captains not to select him. According to Umar, former captain Raza Ali Dar refused to drop him, insisting that leaving out a player of his caliber was unjustified.
