A shocking case has emerged from Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh, where a minor argument about samosas turned violent. A man named Shivam was attacked by his wife Sangeeta and her family after he forgot to bring samosas as requested.
According to reports, the dispute began at home when Shivam failed to fulfill his wifeβs demand. The situation seemed minor but escalated the following day during a local panchayat meeting. At that point, Sangeetaβs parents and maternal uncle joined the argument. The disagreement soon turned physical, and Shivam and his family were assaulted with kicks and punches.
The assault by the wife was captured in a video that quickly went viral on social media, sparking outrage. Viewers expressed shock at how a trivial issue could spiral into serious violence.
Following the attack, Shivamβs mother lodged a complaint at the local police station. An FIR was registered against four accused individuals, including Sangeeta and her relatives. Authorities confirmed that charges of attempted murder have been filed, and the investigation is ongoing.
The incident occurred on August 30 under the jurisdiction of the Sehrapur North police station. Police officials said action will be taken after collecting further evidence.
This case from Uttar Pradesh has drawn attention to how domestic disputes, even over small matters, can escalate dangerously. It also highlights the role of community panchayats, which often become flashpoints rather than resolving tensions peacefully.
