NAUSHEHRO FEROZE: A tragic accident near Sidhuja on the National Highway claimed the lives of seven members of the same family on Monday, police confirmed.
According to officials, a speeding trailer collided with a car, causing the deadly crash. The victims included two children, three women, and two men.
Authorities said the family was traveling to their ancestral village in district Khairpur when the accident occurred near Naushehro Feroze. The collision left no survivors inside the car.
Police identified one of the deceased as Ali Ahmed Janwari, a resident of village Luqman Jan Muhammad Janwari. He was transporting his father’s body from Karachi to their village at the time of the accident. His wife, Shabiran, and daughter, Asma, were also among the dead.
The bodies of the victims have been shifted to the family’s ancestral village for burial. Local residents gathered to express grief and support for the family after the shocking incident.
Officials said an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the crash. Eyewitnesses claimed the trailer was overspeeding, which led to the deadly collision near Naushehro Feroze.
Police added that road accidents on the busy National Highway remain a serious concern, with speeding and reckless driving often leading to major tragedies.
Authorities urged drivers to follow traffic rules to prevent such devastating incidents in the future. The tragic Naushehro Feroze accident has once again highlighted the urgent need for stricter enforcement of road safety measures.
