Saudi Arabia and Turkiye have strongly condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. These attacks claimed the lives of several Pakistani soldiers and caused widespread concern. Both nations expressed condolences to the families of the martyrs and reaffirmed their support for Pakistan’s fight against terrorism.
In a statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of Pakistani soldiers. Riyadh reiterated its firm rejection of all forms of terrorism and violence. The Kingdom also extended condolences to the bereaved families, the government, and the people of Pakistan, emphasizing solidarity during this difficult time.
Similarly, the Turkish Foreign Ministry condemned the terrorist attacks as cowardly acts. Ankara highlighted its continued support for Pakistan’s security and stability. Turkiye also prayed for the martyrs and affirmed its commitment to stand with Pakistan against such threats.
The recent terrorist attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa occurred in Lower Dir’s Lal Qila Maidan area. During an intelligence-based operation, Pakistani security forces eliminated 10 terrorists. Sadly, seven soldiers, including two naiks, one lance naik, and four sepoys, lost their lives while protecting civilians taken hostage by militants. Intelligence reports indicated that the attackers were backed by external forces, including Indian and Afghan nationals.
Following these events, Pakistan’s security forces launched additional operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Between September 10 and 13, 35 terrorists linked to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were neutralized. These operations took place in Bajaur and South Waziristan. Twelve Pakistan Army personnel were martyred while confronting heavily armed militants.
Authorities have stressed vigilance and continue to strengthen security measures across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The coordinated efforts reflect Pakistan’s determination to eliminate terrorist threats and protect civilians.
