US Diplomat Natalie Baker Visits Kasur Flood Camps, Reaffirms Support for Pakistan

US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker visited flood relief camps in Kasur, where she met with victims and reassured them of America’s continued support. She carried children, comforted families, and praised the resilience of those affected by the floods.

During her meeting with Punjab Relief Commissioner Nabeel Javed, Baker discussed ongoing emergency operations in Punjab. She highlighted the life-saving relief supplies provided by the United States to help flood victims.

Her visit to Kasur, one of the most severely hit districts near the River Sutlej, included interactions with displaced families and relief workers. Baker lauded the efforts of the district administration and the dedication of volunteers.

“I commend the highly coordinated efforts of the district administration, which ensured that not a single life was lost in this area,” she said.

In addition to her stop in Kasur, Baker also visited Lahore, where she met members of the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) and young professionals from business, IT, education, and cultural sectors.

She underlined America’s commitment to trade and economic development in Pakistan. According to Baker, the US is keen to introduce American technology, innovation, and business opportunities to create jobs and boost prosperity for both nations.

The US diplomat’s visit comes at a time when Pakistan continues to recover from devastating floods. Officials have welcomed international cooperation, calling it vital for long-term rehabilitation and economic stability.

Baker’s engagements in Punjab highlighted not only the immediate relief efforts but also the broader partnership between the US and Pakistan in areas of trade, innovation, and people-to-people exchanges.
