Google Photos Conversational Editing Feature Rolling Out to More Android Devices

Google Photos Conversational Editing Expands on Android

Android devices across the United States. Previously exclusive to the Pixel 10 series, this feature now allows eligible users to edit photos using natural language commands.

What Is Conversational Editing?

Conversational editing in Google Photos enables users to make photo adjustments by simply describing the desired changes. Instead of manually adjusting sliders or selecting specific tools, users can input commands like “make this photo brighter” or “remove the background” using voice or text. Powered by Google’s Gemini AI, the app interprets these instructions and applies the edits automatically.

Eligibility and Availability

As of September 24, 2025, the conversational editing feature is rolling out to eligible Android users in the U.S. To access this feature, users must be 18 years or older, have a Google account set to English, enable Face Groups, and have location estimates turned on. The feature is accessible by tapping “Help me edit” within the Google Photos app.

Simplifying Photo Editing

This update aims to simplify the photo editing process, making it more intuitive and accessible. By eliminating the need for users to navigate through various tools and settings, conversational editing streamlines the editing experience. Whether enhancing a photo’s brightness or removing unwanted elements, users can now achieve their desired results with ease.

The expansion of Google Photos’ conversational editing feature to more Android devices marks a significant step in making advanced photo editing tools more accessible to a broader audience. With AI-powered capabilities, users can now edit their photos more efficiently and intuitively, enhancing their overall experience with the app.
