Sheikhupura
The deadliest of the CCD encounters took place near the Karto stop on the Muridke-Narowal Road in Sheikhupura. A gang of robbers was reportedly looting travelers when the Crime Control Department team intervened. Five suspects were killed in the exchange of fire. Police said the gang was involved in robberies, murders, and kidnappings. A motorcycle and illegal weapons were seized from the spot.
Shujabad
In Shujabad’s Basti Chhaju Shah, a suspect identified as Muhammad Hussain was killed at a police checkpoint. Officials noted that he was shot by his own accomplices during the crossfire. He had multiple criminal cases registered against him, while his partners fled.
Lahore
Two suspects, Nafees and Salman, were killed in Lahore’s Factory Area. Police explained that they were being taken to Walton Road for recovery when accomplices tried to ambush the CCD team. A shootout followed, leaving both suspects dead.
Mailsi
Another CCD encounter occurred near Jallah Jeem in Mailsi. Four armed men opened fire on a CCD patrol. One suspect, Zahid Iqbal, was killed—allegedly by the bullets of his own group. He was wanted in five murder cases. The other suspects escaped in the dark.
Multan
The final encounter happened near Tawakkal Town in Multan, where a robber named Naveed Hussain was killed. Police said he was involved in over 21 criminal cases, including robberies and theft.
Authorities stated that the CCD encounters were part of an ongoing crackdown on organized crime. Weapons and vehicles were recovered, while police vowed to continue operations against criminal gangs.
