The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released its latest T20 player rankings, bringing major changes for Pakistan and India. Pakistan’s Saim Ayub has risen to the top spot in the T20 all-rounder rankings, overtaking India’s Hardik Pandya, who now sits in second place.
According to the ICC update, Saim Ayub moved up four places to secure the number one position. His consistent performances in recent matches have helped him surpass Hardik Pandya, who had previously dominated the top ranking for a long time. On the batting front, India’s Abhishek Sharma achieved a historic milestone, becoming the first player to reach 931 rating points in T20I batting rankings. This accomplishment makes him the world’s No. 1 T20 batsman. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan jumped 11 places to 13th, while Babar Azam fell to 37th and Mohammad Rizwan dropped to 41st. Fakhar Zaman gained six spots to reach 60th position.
In the T20 bowling rankings, India’s Varun Chakaravarthy retained the top position. Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed slipped three places to 7th, but Shaheen Shah Afridi made a remarkable comeback, climbing 12 spots to 13th. These movements reflect Pakistan’s continued presence among the world’s leading T20 players.
