MADINAH – Renowned Pakistani scholar Sheikh Bashir Ahmad Siddiq, who devoted more than six decades of his life to teaching the Quran at Masjid Nabawi, has passed away.
The spokesman for Jamia Ashrafia Lahore confirmed the sad news of his death. His funeral prayers were offered at Masjid Nabawi, the very place where he spent his life spreading Quranic knowledge. Following the prayers, he was buried in the holy Jannat al-Baqi cemetery in Madinah.
Sheikh Bashir Ahmad was widely respected for his lifelong service in Quranic education. For over 60 years, he taught students from different countries, guiding them in the recitation and understanding of the Holy Quran. His dedication made him a central figure in Islamic scholarship, and his students now carry forward his teachings across the globe.
