BBC Drama Director Lindsay Salt highlighted the show’s cultural impact, calling it one of the broadcaster’s most-loved dramas. She confirmed that fans can expect the same intensity and gripping storytelling that made Peaky Blinders a global success. Netflix’s Mona Qureshi echoed this enthusiasm, praising Knight’s storytelling and promising a thrilling continuation that will captivate global audiences.
Banijay UK CEO Patrick Holland described Peaky Blinders as “an iconic, era-defining drama” and said the new series will attract both longtime followers and newcomers. Richard Parker, Mayor of the West Midlands, welcomed the return, noting the show’s role in boosting tourism and creating job opportunities in the region.
The two new series, each consisting of six episodes, will be produced by Kudos and Garrison Drama in collaboration with BBC and Netflix. Key executive producers include Steven Knight, Cillian Murphy, and partners from both production houses. Support also comes from the West Midlands Combined Authority as part of a wider effort to strengthen creative industries in the region.
