Pakistan Spinner Abrar Ahmed Ties the Knot Today in Karachi

KARACHI: Pakistan’s national cricket team spinner Abrar Ahmed is all set to begin a new chapter in his life as he ties the knot today (Saturday). All wedding preparations have been finalized, with the ceremony taking place in Karachi.

According to reports, the Walima reception of Abrar Ahmed is scheduled for October 16, also in Karachi. The event is expected to be attended by family members, friends, and several cricketers, marking a joyful occasion for the talented player.

The leg-spinner, known for his sharp bowling skills, was part of Pakistan’s squad that reached the final of the 2023 Asia Cup. His cricket journey began in 2017 when he represented Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Later, he made his Test debut against England in 2022, a historic series that marked England’s first visit to Pakistan in 17 years.

That memorable series proved to be a turning point in Abrar Ahmed’s career, as his outstanding performances earned him national recognition. His rise in international cricket has made him one of Pakistan’s most promising spinners in recent years.

Earlier this month, Abrar Ahmed achieved a career-best No. 4 ranking in the ICC Men’s T20I Bowling Rankings, securing 703 rating points. His consistent form in the shorter format has been praised by cricket analysts.

During the Asia Cup group stage, he delivered an economical spell against the UAE, taking two wickets for just 13 runs. Despite a challenging game against India, he made a strong comeback against Sri Lanka, taking 1/8 in a disciplined performance.

In the latest ICC update, he slipped three positions to No. 7 in the T20I bowling rankings. However, his overall progress remains impressive as he continues to prove his worth on the international stage.
