The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has firmly denied social media claims suggesting that the national cricket team will not travel to Pakistan for the upcoming tri-nation series involving Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan.

In a statement released on Saturday, officials from the Afghanistan Cricket Board described the circulating reports as β€œbaseless and misleading.” They clarified that no decision had been made to withdraw from the tour and assured fans that the team remains committed to participating in the event as planned.

Team Focused on Ongoing Series in Abu Dhabi

Sources confirmed that the Afghanistan team is currently engaged in a bilateral series against Bangladesh in Abu Dhabi. This series will conclude before the tri-nation event begins. After fulfilling their ongoing commitments, the team will travel to Pakistan to join the competition alongside Sri Lanka and the host nation.

Officials from the Afghanistan Cricket Board emphasized that all preparations for the tri-nation series are on track and that the players are focused on maintaining their form ahead of the upcoming fixtures.
