Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir has warned India that there is βno space for war in a nuclearised environment,β stressing the dangers of conflict in a Nuclearised Region. He made these remarks while addressing the passing out parade at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) in Kakul on Saturday.
During his speech, COAS Munir cautioned Indiaβs military leadership to act responsibly and resolve core disputes according to international norms. He said Pakistan would never be intimidated by rhetoric and would respond firmly to any provocation. The army chief reminded New Delhi that engaging in aggression within a Nuclearised Region could have devastating consequences for peace and stability.
Munir praised Pakistanβs armed forces for their professionalism and courage during the four-day conflict with India in May, describing it as a βclear victory.β He said the operations, codenamed Marka-i-Haq and Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, strengthened public trust in the militaryβs capabilities. The successful targeting of advanced enemy systems and demonstration of multi-domain warfare proved Pakistanβs defensive strength, he added.
Highlighting national unity, the army chief said people from all walks of life stood together βlike a wall of steelβ in support of the armed forces. This unity, he said, revived the spirit of patriotism and strengthened the resolve to protect the country.
Field Marshal Munir also criticized India for politicizing terrorism and avoiding neutral investigations. He said Pakistanβs legitimate response earned the admiration of its citizens and the international community.
He concluded by congratulating graduating cadets and their counterparts from friendly nations, praising the PMAβs longstanding role in producing professional military leaders.
Reiterating his message, COAS Munir said maintaining peace in a Nuclearised Region requires wisdom, restraint, and respect for sovereigntyβprinciples Pakistan will always uphold.
