Mushaal Hussein Mullick, Chairperson of the Peace and Culture Organisation, Former Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Human Rights and Women Empowerment, and wife of incarcerated Kashmiri resistance leader Muhammad Yasin Malik, has warmly welcomed Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s historic address at the Pakistan Military Academy Kakul, calling it a defining doctrine for a new era of civilisational restraint, moral leadership and global ceasefire diplomacy.
She said Field Marshal Munir’s affirmation that “there is no space for war in a nuclearised region” was not merely a strategic warning but a statesmanlike invitation to the world to choose dialogue over destruction. She particularly appreciated his principled reminder to India that durable peace must begin with justice in Kashmir, in accordance with international law and the will of its people.
Mushaal commended his clear and confident call for global responsibility, linking it to the urgent need for a sustained ceasefire in Palestine, and the moral obligation of world powers including the United States and China to de-escalate, mediate, and restore human dignity where conflict has torn nations apart. She further congratulated the leadership on the landmark Pakistan Saudi Arabia Strategic Defence Pact, calling it a turning point in the Muslim world’s commitment to collective security rooted in peace, not aggression, and a potential foundation for preventing future wars rather than preparing for them. In her statement, Mushaal added: “As the wife of a man imprisoned and facing a life-threatening trial for merely demanding a peaceful resolution for Kashmir, I see Field Marshal Asim Munir’s words as a historic opening, a moment where Pakistan is offering not escalation, but a dignified architecture for just peace.”
She appealed for this new doctrine of restraint, justice and civilisational responsibility to become the basis for an international peace compact, uniting Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, China, the United States, the Muslim world and all moral actors toward a final settlement of Kashmir and a lasting guarantee of freedom for Palestine.
