Pakistan vs South Africa T20I Series Begins Tomorrow; Full Details Inside

RAWALPINDI – Cricket fans are eagerly waiting as Pakistan prepares to face South Africa in a thrilling three-match T20I series starting Tuesday, October 28, at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The action-packed T20I series will continue with the second and third matches scheduled at Lahore’s iconic Gaddafi Stadium on October 31 and November 1, respectively. The toss for all three matches will be held at 7:30 p.m., with the first ball to be bowled at 8:00 p.m. local time.

Following the T20I series, both teams will compete in a three-match ODI series at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad on November 4, 6, and 8.

Earlier, both sides played a two-match Test series under the ICC World Test Championship 2025–27, which ended in a 1-1 draw. Pakistan secured victory in the first Test at the Gaddafi Stadium by 93 runs, while South Africa won the second Test in Rawalpindi by eight wickets.

Historically, Pakistan and South Africa have faced off 24 times in T20Is, with both teams winning 12 matches each. Out of the three T20Is played in Pakistan, the home team has won twice, while the visitors have claimed one victory.

Babar Azam, who has scored 447 runs in 13 innings against South Africa, is only eight runs away from becoming the leading run-scorer in T20Is worldwide. Shaheen Shah Afridi has been a key bowler, taking 13 wickets in 12 matches against the Proteas.

Pakistan’s captain Salman Ali Agha expressed confidence in his squad, saying the team includes exciting new faces and strong performers ready to take on the challenge.
