Renowned Pakistani actress Saba Qamar has revealed that extreme emotional stress recently caused heart pain, leading her to undergo an angiography.
The Case No. 9 star shared her experience during a podcast, describing it as one of the most frightening moments of her life. Saba Qamar explained that she had always believed she was strong enough to handle anything, but realized that repressed emotions often resurface in harmful ways.
βPain and emotions we suppress eventually appear physically β sometimes as anxiety, panic attacks, or even heart problems,β she said.
The actress revealed that she suffered a mild heart attack followed by an angiography the next day. βIβm feeling much better now,β Saba Qamar reassured her fans.
Reflecting on her journey, she admitted that she used to hear about anxiety and panic attacks from others but never fully understood them until she experienced them herself. βItβs painful and indescribable,β she said while urging others not to ignore early warning signs.
According to the 41-year-old actress, doctors shared that there are many reasons young people can face heart issues, not all related to cholesterol. βWhen we hold on to pain and stress for too long, it begins affecting different parts of our body,β she explained.
Saba Qamar also revealed that people often dismiss mental health concerns when they come from successful individuals. βWhen I tried to talk about my mental state, people would say I had everything β fame and money β so how could I be unhappy?β she recalled.
