Javeria Saud Hits Back at Iffat Omar for Defending Saba Qamar’s Karachi Remarks

Actress Javeria Saud has voiced her strong opinion following Saba Qamar’s recent remarks about Karachi that sparked widespread debate across Pakistan’s entertainment industry. The controversy began after Saba Qamar expressed her dislike for living in Karachi during a podcast, prompting reactions from several celebrities, including Iffat Omar and Javeria Saud.

In the viral interview, Saba Qamar said she would never consider moving to Karachi, adding that she preferred Islamabad and Lahore over the city. Her comments quickly drew backlash online, with many fans and fellow artists accusing her of disrespecting Karachi and its people.

Responding to the criticism, actress Iffat Omar came to Saba Qamar’s defense, saying that people should not be forced to like a city. She added that Karachi is “a very dirty city,” a statement that further fueled public outrage.

Javeria Saud, however, openly disagreed with both Saba Qamar and Iffat Omar. She stated, “Karachi is not dirty; it’s people’s mindset that is dirty.” Javeria emphasized that speaking ill of one’s own city or country reflects poorly on the individual, not the place itself.

She further said, “Those who call Karachi dirty are the same people who talk negatively about their homeland. Every city of Pakistan, including Karachi, deserves love and respect.”

As a proud resident of Karachi, Javeria Saud highlighted that such comments create unnecessary division among artists and hurt the city’s image. Her defense of Karachi has earned appreciation from social media users who praised her patriotism and loyalty to her hometown.
