Former Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal has urged cricket fans to fill the stands at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad ahead of the upcoming domestic and international fixtures. Ajmal, who now serves as a coach and mentor, made the appeal through social media, encouraging the public to show their support for local cricket and young talent.

Ajmal emphasized that reviving crowd energy in Faisalabad is crucial for the growth of cricket in Pakistan. He said that the passion of fans has always been the backbone of the sport, and seeing packed stands will boost players’ morale and performance.

He added that Faisalabad holds a special place in Pakistan’s cricketing history, having hosted several memorable matches and produced legendary cricketers. “Iqbal Stadium is not just a ground — it’s an emotion for Faisalabad’s fans,” Ajmal said, calling on supporters to “come with flags, energy, and full voice.”

The former off-spinner also highlighted the importance of supporting domestic cricket, stating that nurturing local talent is essential for maintaining Pakistan’s international competitiveness. He praised the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for organizing tournaments in regional venues, giving fans outside major cities a chance to witness live action.

Local cricket associations have responded positively to Ajmal’s call, confirming preparations for a festive environment at the stadium, including family enclosures and entertainment zones.

Ajmal concluded by saying that full stands at Iqbal Stadium will send a strong message that Faisalabad remains a true cricket city with unwavering fan spirit.
