NCCIA Rawalpindi Arrests Man for Harassment and Blackmail Using Obscene Videos

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Rawalpindi has arrested a suspect involved in harassment and blackmail through obscene videos. The operation was carried out as part of ongoing efforts to combat cybercrime across the region.

According to officials, the suspect has been identified as Muhammad Ali Asad, son of Ahmed Khan. He was allegedly involved in uploading a womanโ€™s videos to a pornographic website without her consent. The act falls under the category of digital harassment and violation of privacy.

The NCCIA Rawalpindi team recovered the suspectโ€™s mobile phone, which contained evidence related to the case. A detailed forensic examination of the device is currently underway to gather additional proof.

Authorities confirmed that a case (No. 193/2025) has been registered against the accused under Section 21 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016. This section deals specifically with offenses involving the misuse of private content and online exploitation.

The NCCIA stated that further investigations are ongoing, and all digital evidence has been sent to a forensic lab for expert analysis. The agency emphasized that such actions will not be tolerated and assured that strict legal measures will be taken against individuals involved in cyber harassment or blackmail.

The Rawalpindi cybercrime unit has recently intensified operations against online offenders, aiming to ensure a safer digital environment for citizens. Officials also urged the public to report any incidents of cyber harassment or blackmail to the authorities immediately.
