Islamabad: Sources have revealed that the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to add two new teams, representing Gilgit and Faisalabad, ahead of the upcoming season.
The addition of these teams aims to expand the leagueโs reach, promote cricket in underrepresented regions, and provide more opportunities for emerging talent. PSL officials are reportedly finalizing franchise ownership and team management ahead of official announcements.
Cricket analysts suggest that the move could strengthen domestic cricket, boost fan engagement, and increase commercial investment in the league. Existing teams are expected to welcome the expansion, with the goal of making PSL more inclusive and competitive.
The official confirmation from the PSL management is expected soon, with team logos, player drafts, and sponsorship details likely to be unveiled in the coming months.
