Apple's 'Wonderlust' Event: iPhone 15 Launch and More

Apple has officially announced its forthcoming iPhone launch event scheduled for September 12, confirming the multitude of rumors that have circulated in recent weeks. As customary, the event will be available for streaming on Apple’s website and the Apple TV streaming service.

At this event, Apple is anticipated to unveil the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and possibly the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which might bear the name iPhone 15 Ultra this year, although this remains unconfirmed.

There’s also speculation that the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Watch Series 9 could make their debut during this event.

Apple has chosen the term “Wonderlust” as its tagline for this occasion, a clever play on “wanderlust,” typically denoting an intense desire to travel. In this context, it likely signifies a strong yearning to be captivated or amazed, fitting well with Apple’s strategy of deliberate intrigue.

Adhering to a recent EU law, all four upcoming iPhones will incorporate USB-C ports. Rumors are swirling that the iPhone 15 Pro Max/Ultra could pioneer an innovative periscope zoom camera within Apple’s device lineup.

Shifting away from stainless steel, the Pro models are expected to feature titanium frames. An interesting change across the series involves replacing the mute switch with a versatile “Action button,” alongside the introduction of the Dynamic Island feature across all models.

Additionally, Apple may choose to update its AirPods range by equipping them with USB-C ports as well.
