In response to the loss of valuable lives and property damage caused by rain followed by severe winds and thunderstorms in several areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has asked the relevant authorities to provide aid to the affected people.

In a statement released by the Bilawal House media cell on Sunday, the chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party expressed his sympathies to the families of the unfortunate tragedy victims.

Bilawal urged the party’s office holders and activists to work with the government and actively take part in rescue and relief efforts in the two provinces’ rain-damaged districts, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Even though hundreds of thousands of people were saved following horrific monsoon-related disasters, the foreign minister stated that the affected parties were still awaiting the promised financial support. Bilawal Bhutto said that it would be unfair to force developing nations like Pakistan to shoulder the cost of addressing climate change. He urged the international community to help in this effort.
