Disturbing Incident of Rape Marks Third Case in a Week in Capital City

The capital city has been shaken by yet another distressing incident of rape, marking the third occurrence within a span of just seven days. According to police reports on Monday, this latest incident unfolded at a guest house situated in F-7/4. A young woman fell victim to a man who lured her under the pretense of a job interview, only to subject her to two instances of rape. The incident has sparked outrage and concern among the local community.

Authorities have taken immediate action, registering a case at the Kohsar police station and ensuring that legal proceedings will be pursued. The victim’s ordeal serves as a stark reminder of the urgent need for stricter measures to combat sexual violence and protect vulnerable individuals.

In addition to this alarming incident, another case came to light on June 13, 2023, when a woman from Sahiwal visited her niece’s residence on Adiala Road. Tragically, she too became a victim of sexual assault, further highlighting the pressing issue of safety and security faced by women in the city.

On June 12, 2023, a girl went through the harrowing experience of being raped at gunpoint in Banigala. Authorities wasted no time in taking action, promptly filing a case at the Banigala police station to ensure that justice is pursued for the victim.

These successive incidents of rape have raised concerns about the safety of women in the capital city and have ignited calls for immediate and effective measures to address the issue.
