Donald Trump is accused in a lawsuit involving secret papers.

Donald Trump, a former US president, has been accused of handling sensitive information after leaving office.

According to US media, Mr. Trump, 76, is accused of seven offences, including the improper retention of secret information. Charges have not yet been made public.

It is Mr. Trump’s second indictment, and if found guilty, it may result in a jail sentence. He is running a campaign to take back the White House in 2024.

According to legal experts, Mr. Trump’s ability to run for president again won’t be hampered by the indictment. Mr. Trump said on Truth Social on Thursday that he was innocent and that he had been ordered to appear in court in Miami, Florida, on Tuesday afternoon, where he would be detained and face charges.

He wrote, “I never imagined that such a thing could happen to a former president of the United States.

“This is truly a dark day for the United States of America,” he continued. Although our nation is rapidly and seriously deteriorating, by working together, we can “Make America Great Again!”
