Dar claims independent candidates are reaching out to PML-N

Ishaq Dar, a leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and former federal finance minister, revealed that independent candidates are reaching out to the party. He stressed PML-N’s position as the dominant party in National Assembly seats from Punjab.

Dar acknowledged the delays in result announcements, citing the shutdown of mobile phone networks. He expressed confidence that independent candidates would join PML-N within the constitutional timeframe of 72 hours. Dar reiterated PML-N’s lead in both the National Assembly and Punjab Assembly, based on data compiled by the party’s election cell.

The statement was made amid ongoing election results and political developments in Pakistan.
