Gold rates drop in Pakistan, Dec 29

The past Friday of December witnessed significant fluctuations in the price of gold across Pakistan and internationally, marking a surge in its value amidst prevailing economic uncertainty. In the local market, the cost of a single tola of 24 Karat gold soared to Rs219,300, while 10 grams of the precious metal were priced at Rs188,020.

Furthermore, the market displayed varied rates for different karats: Rs201,024 for 22 Karat gold, Rs191,888 for 21 Karat per tola, and an approximate Rs164,475 for 18 Karat gold per tola. These diverse price points illustrate the dynamic nature of gold valuation in response to economic shifts.

Simultaneously, the international market observed a noteworthy increase in gold prices, with its value surging by $21.30 to hit $2,087. This rise in global gold rates mirrors the investment sentiment and economic dynamics influencing the precious metal’s value on a larger scale.
