Gold registers losses for the third consecutive day in Pakistan

KARACHI – The price of gold in Pakistan continued its downward trend for the third consecutive session, with the per tola price of 24-karat gold falling by Rs1,800 on Thursday.

According to data from the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, the per tola price of gold settled at Rs240,200. Additionally, the price of 10-gram gold decreased by Rs1,543, bringing it to Rs205,933. On the international market, the price of gold also saw a decline, closing at $2,338 per ounce.

The previous day, there was a significant decrease in gold prices in Pakistan’s domestic market, mirroring the international trend. The All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association reported that the per tola gold price dropped by Rs6,200, reaching Rs242,000. Similarly, the price for 10-gram gold fell by Rs5,315, settling at Rs207,476 in the local market.
