Lahore and other parts of Punjab continued to grapple with dense fog, causing significant disruptions in road travel. On Tuesday, several segments of the motorway had to be closed due to the hazardous conditions.
The National Highways and Motorways Police took the precautionary measure of shutting down sections of both Motorway M-2 and M-3 due to reduced visibility caused by dense fog. The NHMP spokesperson confirmed the closure of M-2 from Thokar Niaz to Khanqah Dogran and M-3 from Faizpur to Nankana Sahib, prohibiting all traffic movement in these areas.
Travelers were strongly advised to use front and rear fog lights for enhanced visibility and cautioned against undertaking journeys during low visibility hours. The recommendation emphasized preferring daylight travel during this fog-prone season to mitigate potential road incidents.
