A rapid and effective operation conducted by the Pakistan Coast Guards resulted in the thwarting of a significant drug smuggling endeavor during a raid in Jiwani on Monday.
The coast guards had received actionable intelligence about an attempt to smuggle drugs by sea from the Jiwani region of Gwadar.
A substantial haul of narcotics was seized from a speedboat, amounting to 833 kilograms of high-quality drugs (Hashish) and 42 kilograms of methamphetamine, commonly known as “ice.”
Upon spotting the Pakistan Coast Guards’ boat, the suspects quickly fled the scene, abandoning the high-speed boat on the shoreline.
The confiscated narcotics are estimated to have a total value of $20.86 million in the global illicit drug market.
