'Dangal' actress Suhani passes away at 19

The untimely demise of Suhani Bhatnagar, the talented young actress renowned for her portrayal of young Babita Phogat in the 2016 film Dangal, has saddened audiences. At the age of 19, Suhani passed away, with the cause of her death undisclosed at this time.

Suhani, a resident of Sector 17, Faridabad, is set to be cremated at the Ajronda crematorium in Sector 15, Faridabad. Her final Instagram post featured a series of sun-kissed selfies with the caption, “November??”

During the promotional phase of “Dangal,” Suhani shared several Instagram posts, including pictures with director Nitesh Tiwari and actors Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh. In one post, she referred to herself as “Geeta babita Jr.babita and the director.”

A throwback picture showed Suhani sharing a moment with Aamir Khan and Shankar Mahadevan during the promotions of “Dangal.” The snapshot captured the joyous presence of Suhani and Zaira Wasim, who portrayed the young Geeta Phogat.

After her role in “Dangal,” Suhani decided to take a break from acting to concentrate on her studies. The 2016 biographical sports drama, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao under Aamir Khan Productions, depicted the inspiring journey of Mahavir Singh Phogat and his efforts to train his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari as India’s first world-class female wrestlers. Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra portrayed the adult Phogat sisters, while Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar portrayed their younger counterparts.
