Their son, Izhaan Mirza Malik, took part in a swimming competition held by a private academy in the UAE. Both Shoaib and Sania attended their son’s swimming competition, commemorating his victory by posting photos on their respective social media accounts.

Nevertheless, nearly 12 years into their marriage, fans began speculating about the state of Sania and Malik’s relationship in November 2022.

Despite fans observing a certain disconnect between the two, the cricketer repeatedly dismissed rumors of a separation. Malik attributed their physical distance to his professional obligations and business ventures, including a franchise in India.
