Naseem Shah Returns to Net Practice After Prolonged Injury

Pakistan’s fast-bowling sensation, Naseem Shah, has returned to the nets after recovering from injury, just in time for the upcoming ninth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Naseem shared a video on the social media platform ‘X,’ showcasing himself bowling smoothly in the nets with the caption, “Alhamdulillah.”

The 20-year-old had suffered a shoulder injury during the Asia Cup 2023 match against India, leading to surgery and a subsequent rehabilitation process. After four months, Naseem is back to full strength, displaying impressive inswing and outswing in the nets.

His injury had forced him to miss the 2023 ODI World Cup in India, where his absence was notable in the bowling lineup.

Naseem Shah is set to represent Islamabad United in PSL 9 after a major trade with Quetta Gladiators in December. Despite a bidding war between Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi, Naseem chose Islamabad United, joining his brothers Hunain and Obaid Shah for the upcoming PSL season. The tournament is scheduled to begin next month, with Lahore Qalandars defending their title.

PSL 9 is slated to take place from February 17 to March 17, 2024, with matches scheduled in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan.
