Pakistan to assess 2023 World Cup security in India

In a crucial move to ensure the safety of its cricket team during the eagerly awaited ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 match against India, Pakistan has taken a significant step.
A delegation comprising high-ranking security officials will travel to India to conduct a thorough review of the security arrangements in place. With the Pakistan-India clash scheduled for 14 October in Ahmedabad, all attention is focused on the delegation’s security assessment.

The main objective of the delegation is to assess the adequacy and preparedness of the security measures surrounding the tournament, with a particular focus on the safety of players, officials, and spectators.
Once the visit is completed, the security delegation will compile a comprehensive report containing their observations and recommendations. Pakistan’s government will make its decision on allowing the national cricket team to travel to India based on the insights provided by this security report.
The cricketing relationship between the two neighboring countries has been affected by their strained bilateral relations. However, they are slated to play against each other at least twice this year, with a possibility of up to five matches if both sides qualify for the final of the Asia Cup and the knockout round of the World Cup 2023.
