13 Indian-Sponsored Militants Killed in Dera Ismail Khan Operation

On 24 September 2025, Pakistani security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Daraban, Dera Ismail Khan District, following reports of the presence of militants linked to the Indian proxy group Fitna al Khwarij.

During the operation, security forces engaged the militants’ location, resulting in the deaths of thirteen Indian-sponsored operatives. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the deceased militants.

Authorities confirmed that the targeted militants were actively involved in multiple terrorist activities, including facilitating a suicide bombing in Daraban in December 2023, as well as carrying out abductions and targeted killings of government officials and civilians.

A sanitization operation is ongoing in the area to ensure the elimination of any remaining militants. Pakistani security forces emphasized their determination to eradicate the threat of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country.
