The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has reported a horrific attack in Sorab, Balochistan, carried out by terrorists allegedly supported by India. The attackers, numbering between 20 and 30, entered the city’s market area on motorcycles. They looted a bank, torched residences of government officials, and committed violent acts against women and children in the locality.
In a brave act of resistance, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Hidayatullah Baloch, originally from Buleda, was martyred while protecting civilians. His efforts helped prevent further tragedy until security forces, including the Frontier Corps (FC), arrived and forced the attackers to flee.

The ISPR emphasized that these attackers are proxies with no link to Baloch customs or values, exposing their anti-Baloch and inhumane agenda.
Balochistan Government Reacts
Provincial spokesperson Shahid Rind condemned the incident as a blatant attempt to undermine state authority. He confirmed that a financial institution was robbed and multiple government-owned properties were destroyed during the assault. He also acknowledged the martyrdom of ADC Hidayatullah Baloch, who sacrificed his life defending innocent citizens.
Rind affirmed that operations are ongoing, with FC, police, and Levies personnel working jointly to clear and secure the area.
Prime Minister’s Response
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed strong condemnation of the act, calling it a cowardly assault on unarmed civilians, including women and children. He stated that such violence reflects the terrorists’ hostility towards the people and progress of Balochistan.
Praising the courage of ADC Hidayatullah Baloch, the Prime Minister described him as a symbol of bravery and extended heartfelt condolences to his family. He reaffirmed the federal government’s support for the armed forces in their efforts to eradicate Indian-sponsored terrorist networks and ordered strict accountability for those behind the attack.
