Two Martyred, 11 Injured in Car Bomb Blast Near FC Fort in Qila Abdullah

A car bomb detonated near the Frontier Corps (FC) fort in the Gulistan area of Qila Abdullah district, targeting a crowded marketplace. The explosion claimed the lives of two individuals and injured 11 others. The bomb was reportedly planted in a parked vehicle close to the FC camp. Following the blast, heavy gunfire erupted in the vicinity, spreading fear among residents.

The deputy commissioner of Qila Abdullah confirmed the attack, clarifying that FC personnel and other security officials were not harmed. The wounded, all civilians, were promptly shifted to a nearby medical facility.

Security forces swiftly secured the area and initiated a search operation. Sporadic firing persisted for a short time after the explosion, heightening tensions among the local population.

In a separate attack, unidentified assailants targeted the FC post at Qila Gulistan with hand grenades. FC troops retaliated quickly, neutralizing two attackers. The FC Balochistan spokesperson confirmed a brief exchange of fire took place during the confrontation.

Authorities stated that the situation around the FC post is now under control, with heightened vigilance in place to avert further attacks. The incident occurs amid a noticeable increase in militant activities in Balochistan. Security forces remain actively engaged in operations to counter the threat, while investigations into the recent attack continue. No organization has claimed responsibility yet.
