ISLAMABAD: Under the vision of βDigital Punjab,β Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched the CM IT Internship Program to provide hands-on experience to IT and Computer Science graduates. The program aims to equip young professionals with industry-ready skills and connect them with top IT companies and software houses.
Selected graduates will participate in a five-month internship and receive a monthly scholarship of PKR 50,000. The initiative is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional experience, allowing interns to work on real-world projects and learn directly from industry experts.
Eligible applicants must be IT or Computer Science graduates from Punjab holding a four-year degree. Interested candidates can apply online through the official portal at cmitinterns.punjab.gov.pk.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said, βWe are turning Punjab into an IT hub, connecting our youth with modern technology and opening new avenues for progress. The Nawaz Sharif IT City will be a game-changer for Pakistanβs digital future.β She emphasized that the IT Internship Program will help shape a skilled workforce capable of meeting global tech industry standards.
Experts say the CM IT Internship Program is a crucial step toward strengthening Pakistanβs IT sector, encouraging innovation, and preparing graduates to compete in a fast-growing digital economy. The initiative also provides mentorship opportunities, exposing interns to emerging technologies and best practices in software development, cybersecurity, data science, and more.
